Meditation Lecture:
using the tools of meditation for stress reduction

Introduction to meditation with Gena Bean.
This introductory lecture/class includes a brief guided meditation, and time for your questions.

There has been much in the news, from The Boston Globe to Oprah Magazine, about using meditation for reducing stress and increasing health. Come to this beginner-level event to see what meditation is for yourself.

Those who are considering joining the MBSR Intensive will find this introductory lecture especially useful. Anyone, and everyone, who is interested in mindfulness is encouraged to attend.

The same lecture is offered in a number of locations during the week before Gena Bean starts a full program in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Beginners are welcome.
There are no requirements.

Come to this lecture to get an introduction to mindfulness meditation.
Gena Bean will also cover details about the MBSR programs that she leads.

You are welcome to come to this intro to meditation lecture for free.
It is possible to just drop by if it suits your schedule in the last minute. But sending an email to Gena Bean to rsvp ahead of time would be helpful for administrative reasons. Registration is requested, but not required.

Gena Bean is a meditation instructor and certified Yoga Teacher with over 20 years of personal experience with meditation. Her instruction style is very clear and accessible to beginners. She completed the practicum in MBSR at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 2007.
